The research discusses the balance of powers between private companies and the public sector in reference to the Smart City via the internet network's liberal ideological point of view, and to the city's strive for innovation as an agent to implement those technologies. In addition, I would like to examine the extent to which Smart City applications can be used by private companies, considering their financial interests, as a tool in becoming established in the public sector. The third part of the research would explore a futuristic viewpoint of the subject by examining the basic patterns of interrelations which exist between local authorities and ICT companies. And as a byproduct – which interrelation models exist between them and the uniqueness of each model.
